Follow the source.

US Data Watch is an independent statistics reporting platform built to make national data easier to read and check.

What you can find here

The dashboard brings together everyday prices, jobs, income, non-food material indexes, health measures and immigration reporting. The indicator directory gives each economic and health measure a permanent record with history, units, definitions, source links and downloadable observations.

Data comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, CDC/NCHS, AHRQ and the official agencies identified in our immigration records. Source agencies produce the original statistics. US Data Watch selects, presents and compares their published observations.

What the numbers can establish

Every measure has a population, reporting period and definition. Prices, indexes, payroll jobs, employed people and health rates are different measurements. We keep those distinctions visible, retain missing values and preserve previous observations when a source check fails.

Presidential comparisons describe changes during a period. They do not establish that an administration caused those changes. National statistics do not describe every household, and health measures are not individual risk assessments.

Reporting and corrections

News articles provide bylines, publication dates and original references. Data pages identify the source publisher and its measurement methods. Read sources and methodology for comparison rules and revision handling.

Questions, corrections and media enquiries can be sent through the contact form. Include the indicator, reporting period and original source when reporting a possible data error.

Independence and support

US Data Watch is not operated by or affiliated with a government agency or political administration. Source agency names identify where information comes from. Financial support is voluntary and does not grant control over statistics or calculations.
