ACCESSIBILITY / US DATA WATCH

Access to the data.

Our working accessibility target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We are improving the site toward that target and have not completed an independent conformance audit.

Using the site

Use the skip link to move past navigation. Controls can be reached with the keyboard. Detail dialogs have a close button and can be dismissed with Escape. Browser zoom remains available, and narrow screens use a single-column card layout.

Economic chart details include an observation slider and an exact-value table. Health and immigration details include sourced history tables. Full economic and health records are available in the indicator directory. Charts are accompanied by reporting dates, units and source notes; color is not the only way to identify changes.

The site follows your device’s reduced-motion setting. The footer’s visual-motion control can pause the animated ticker and graph effects. The ticker also has its own pause control. Dark and light modes are available.

Request help or report a barrier

Use the contact form and choose “Accessibility / assistance”. Tell us which page or indicator you could not use, what you were trying to do, and your preferred way to receive a reply. Browser or assistive-technology details are optional. Do not include sensitive medical information.

You may also use “Report a bug” without providing an email address. Provide an email if you would like a reply or help accessing a particular source record.

Review status

Reviewed October 12, 2026. This pass included source review, automated checks of rendered HTML, contrast calculations and targeted component tests. Full browser, screen-reader, zoom and touch-device testing remains outstanding. Automated checks cannot establish complete accessibility.

Third-party source websites, hosted sign-in, newsletter services and payment services are controlled by their providers. If an external step prevents you from accessing the data, describe the barrier through the contact form.
